Go Away I’m Reading (by chrisjohnbeckett)

Last week my friend thought it would be funny to take me to see Cats: the Musical. I had no idea it was based on T. S. Elliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.
Speaking of poetry, inside City Lights Bookstore there is a room filled with poetry books. There you will find this chair. Along the walls there are black and white photographs of poets of all kinds. It’s fun to look at the pictures; you discover so many things you’d never know but from looking at someone’s photo.
Until I took a closer look, I had no idea that Anna Ahkmatova had such a great haircut, especially for her time. Or that Vladimir Mayakovsky was such a babe. He looks exactly like how I’d picture Rochester from Jane Eyre.
